This gallery is intended to focus on the possibilities of Leatherstone™ as a medium for architectural works of art created by Alan Dunn. For many years, Alan has been designing unique cabinetry, and after developing the unique look of Leatherstone™ for countertops, he has incorporated it into cabinetry and wainscoting. He is currently developing some more contemporary looking finishes as well as ones that can handle high UV sunlight.
We see great potential here for doors, because many of the physical constraints of lumber, do not apply to Leatherstone™. Now we we can go beyond traditional wood joinery and create designs that you would normally obtain in cast metal, without it's inherent limitations.
